Project Manager (Product Information Management/Digital Asset Management in Mundelein, IL

Client in north suburban Mundelein is seeking a contract Project Manager to manage the implementation of a Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. It will require working with the software provider (ADAM [www.adamsoftware.net], an integration partner (Stylelabs; in Belgium), client's India (our offshore development arm) as well as the application development manager, business analysts and business process owners. Travel to Europe may be required so any candidate should have valid passport. We expect for this position to last through January of 2013. The PIM/DAM project will implement a system that allows multiple teams like Central Data, QA, Marketing, Inventory Management, Operations and the Product Divisions access to maintain their specific portions of data for validation or action. This allows for managing classification, Pedigree, product attributes, product alternates and cross reference data by managing the tasks through workflow. It will create a better environment for managing SKU creation based on business needs, conversion opportunities, and consistent costing structures per branch. ADAM PIM/DAM is intended to replace the existing Item Creation application which is a custom application built in FoxPro. The web-based portal will allow will be used by all Product Divisions, Central Data and Marketing. It will provide the ability to manage product information (PIM) and digital assets like photography and brochures (DAM). PIM/DAM will store product data in a single location and it will integrate directly with our existing SAP software. This software will allow client to create workflows to facilitate projects like labeling artwork that are currently very time-consuming and hard to track.
